![]() ![]() Has anyone experienced this before and did you find a solution? I’ve tried converting to txt and it says “file cannot be converted”. And even then, it turns out I had the backup save rate to 5 and by the time I went to find the correct backup file it’s already auto saved 5 times. I go to the back up file and there’s a file that I think is the correct one but it comes out as a word file with a bunch of tiny white squares. So, I figured it wouldn’t be that big of a deal since I could go back to the automatic save files, right? Wrong. However, I know the Scrivener trial version still automatically saves files via. I haven’t transferred all the files from my old laptop to my new one and I don’t have my personal Scrivener license yet. This happened while I was showing my professor what I was working on and when I turned the laptop back on the scrivener file that had my work was gone. Some background: I recently purchased a Surface Pro which as it turns out has a faulty battery that automatically shuts the laptop off if I move it too much. ![]()
